Funny, this brought back memories. I work across from a Walmart. Between 1995 and 2005 when I was big into collecting I would stop there EVERY MORNING Monday thru Saturday @ 7am. It got to the point where they would wait for me to get there and then give me the cases to go through before they were hung on the pegs. If I still had time before work I would straighten up that section and hang all of the cars for them. I now have every THunt from 95 thru 2005 with the exception of three from the last year I collected. Now I find one every now and then at about three a year. Ive found most of those at Walgreens.

Ya'll need to keep your eyes out for this package too!
This particular one hasn't made it out of Malaysia yet.

I saw that on ebay last nite. If you read the description he made it up out of loose cars. You could do the same with your loose one. Fill in all of the spaces with all of the different HotWheels Mavericks ...

I was talking to a local Hot Wheels guy, and he seemed to think, the Super Treasure Hunts would be in a package like the Mystery cars..so you can't see what it is. Which would suck...

    That's a good idea! I need to go buy me a 10pak. (y)
I wouldn't mind having that one but with shipping it's gonna be over $100. I took a chance on buying my loose one for $20 coming from Malaysia. Scared to try this one since it's not the same seller. I think 8 of those cars in that pak are treasure hunts too so it's probably not a bad price!

They are in the exact same package as the regular Maverick is. Last years super Thunts were in the same package as regular Thunts the difference was either the wheels and tires or the deco scheme. This year they are calling em Super secret Thunts because they look like the regular cars but with a change in the wheels and tires plus the additional TH tampo. The package does not indicate Thunt at all so a lot of people might miss them unless they know what to look for.

I've never been into collecting Hot Wheels in general...just specific types of cars. If its not a Ford it's not on my shelves. I collect any brand die casts but pretty much just Mustangs, Cobras, and Mavericks. I figure I have close to 700 Mustangs and Cobras and getting close to 200 Mavericks right now but that does include several plastic models. Oh, and a few parts cars...I mean Comets in the mix too.
If I ever get tired of collecting, they gonna freak out at a swap meet.

Found three of these on my lunch break today. Not the treasure hunts with the white roofs and rubber tires but it'll due for now.

It doesn't look like there is red metallic rim on the back ... if so, you have an error car.

Probably worth $15-20 to an error collector.

I sold a couple of Camaros from the Classics series on eBay. Both had wheel errors .... both went for SICK $$$$. That is the way it is with Camaros and VWs in Hot Wheels .... it is like Mopars to Mopar fanatics.

All the rest seem to sell for a fraction. Makes no sense.

I was just down in So. Cal for a week and my buddy found one for me at the Walmart in Upland, but I don't know if they had anymore.

    Short Card

Here is a Treasure Hunt Grabber on a short card. Only one I've seen. There are lots of these on Ebay. I bought one for just under 30 bucks in a weak moment of gotta have the rare one. Seems it isn't that rare with all the ones showing up. But most all still command big bucks. shortcard.jpg

I have every one looking for the white roof version for me. All that seems to be around here is the blue roof version. Still seems HTF ...
