Lincoln it is, I ordered a Power Mig 140C Today...I couldn't help myself....Under $550 at the welding supplier, Millers were $700+ everywhere else I went today...
:bananaman Should be nice ...... Popular Mechanics #1 overall pick ........ (I'd still have looked at the HTP ....... never know when you need a submarine ... )
I got my new machine today...if I didn't stay up till 1 am watching the race last night, I'd be out in the garage welding everything I could fine. Man, what a difference a quality machine makes. Not that my 25+ year old Miller wasn't quality...but my new Lincoln is amazing!!!
I told you that you'd like the Lincoln! I love mine! Much better than the chinese flux core I had that was stolen.
Kind of late now, but Hobart is the consumer brand of Miller. We have three Millers. One is a stick welder built in 40's and still works hundy dunky. If you want a Miller, but like the price of the Lincoln, buy the Hobart.
I looked at Hobart, they are all pretty much the same. I went with a "continuous" control for the heat. Plus the Lincoln has a spot timer, or making spot welds.
I like the looks of this machine for a "budget" welder. http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/hobart-welder-210mvp.html I recently bought a Millermatic 212 Autoset. I like it but alot of the new machines have more settings and somtimes it just makes them harder to use.
