used them on several cars. never had any problems and it can make changing the filter very easy.

I like them but you also need hoses and the adapter where your filter normally screws to the block

I had a remote setup on a V8 Ranger that I drove for many years. I had one odd problem right off the bat, unrelated to the actual remote housing.

I didn't want to use the barbed hose clamp hoses that came with the kit, so I had some hydraulic hoses made up. I had them made of super heavy duty industrial grade material. I ended up with a "moose call" type noise on deceleration, that I eventually found to be a result of a harmonic vibration transmitted through the steel wire in the hoses. I had a second set made of a lower grade, more flexible material and the noise went away.

    Now that is very interesting!:16suspect

Isn't it fun when an "upgrade" causes some wierd problem you've never considered possible.

A 90* will kill the oil pressure when the oil dead heads into the 90*. Two 45's* will work better. A friend had his oil pressure go from 65 psi to 15 psi usings 90's. If it was air pressure instead of liquid pressure then a 90* will work
