My F250 Diesel came with Firestone Steeltex on it. Got 65k out of them but will not buy a Bridgestone/Firestone tire. Replaced them with Michelin LTX MS tires and they are very quiet and got 72k out of them. Could have gone another 3k to 5k but replaced them prior to my trip to the Gathering last year. Was happy with them so went with the LTX MS again. I figure I could save $100 each on tires but the would probably wear out in 40k.

    Looks like LTX/MS for me.

So, back to original question. I think I have the answer. If I buy these tires from Sams, will that be OK? Still the exact same tire and quality?

Not saying I am going to, but wanted to price them there as well as the other locations I will check out.

Going to be a couple weeks before I have $1200 for new tires!!! :yikes:

If they are marked with the LTX/MS , they would be the same as anywhere.
Just make sure there isn't any added letters or number onto that :D

I swore off buying tires at Sam's after watching them install the aluminum wheels back on my trailer and running the lugs all the way down with an impact in a circular pattern. Obviosly had not gone through Tires 101 yet

Main thing I would say is ask to see the stamping and verify the dates

    OK, good to hear.

I actually saw some today but they were MS2 or something like that. I didn't touch them, and couldn't get any help from anyone. Too busy with cigarette break or something.

I know they order stuff for an added fee.

I can do the same at discount tire without the fees. And with knowledge of mounting and installing tires...

Yes, I remember buying some Yokohama Z rated Run Flats before I put the Mustang Cobra in the Silver States Classis a number of years ago, and that was close to $1200...................for mounting balancing and lineup. Tire prices are totally over the top.............................IMHO

The tires that came on my 2002 300m special were 850 each in 2003. 245 45 zr 18 michelin pilot line. They lasted about 30000 km if you were lucky.

Its pretty common now Scoop. HAd a set of bridgestones on a truck today that were installed yesterday at a tire shop. All wheels were out of balance cause they did a crap job but the one tire took almost 11 ounces. 6 on one side and 5 on the other. We sent him back so they can replace it.

I "only" paid $900 for my last set, but they only lasted 3x,000 miles on a 60,000 mile warranty.

I am willing to pay $1400 if they will actually get me close to 70,000 miles before going all nutty on me.
