You dont have a pull Scoop, You have a drift. Could just be road crown. If you can go 1/8 mile with your hands off the wheel its OK. You need to get your steering wheel centered. It should never leave an alignment with the wheel off center. An off center wheel can trick into thinking you have a pull.

I can see the right front tire is toed outwards. Which would cause it to pull to the right. I will crank it in a touch and test drive it, and see if the "pull" goes away.

Like Darren said. It's not a pull.. To say "pull" implies caster is out.. or there is a low tire.

    Push, Pull, Drift, whatever.

The truck won't go straight, and won't stay on the road without my constant over-correction.

It took me 6 alignments at 4 different places to get the alignment on my lowered truck right. I found a shop where the alignment guy had the same truck and had figured out his own specs which are no where near factory specs. I could nearly take a nap before it drifted out of my lane. Might try a dodge dealer.

    Well, THAT was easy!!!

After calling PepBoys Corporate office, I got a call from the service manager that had been giving me the runaround. She was VERY helpful, all of a sudden. She told me I could take my truck to the next PepBoys over in the next town and they would align it straight for no extra charge. I told her I have already taken three half-days off of work this week, and do not have the time. Besides, I can SEE the problem by eye, and will fix it myself, and I still want my money back. We will see if I ever get it...

    Anyway...

Blugene recommended that I turn the toe in 1-1/2 turns and see where it rides. That put it "drifting" about the same amount but in the other direction.

So I made one more adjustment, got the wheel almost dead straight, then made one final smaller adjustment and now DEAD NUTZ STRAIGHT!!!

Ended up being about 3/5 of a turn in to get it straight.

So, I guess I have finally found the best alignment guy around these parts. ME!:D

I would still be checking around for someone who knows how to align old cars that have been modified. If the toe was off THAT much, where are the caster and camber set?

Lilredtoy (Seth) gave me a lead on a guy to install a traction loc and that guy put me onto a good alignment guy. What a difference a good alignment makes!! Forget Pep Boys and check the local car clubs and at meets to find the guys that know how to do custom work on old cars.(y)

I just don't see that 3/5 of a turn is 2".... Unless you mean 3 to 5? I do know 3/5 of a turn is verrry little. Almost Frank kinda strange :p

Oh, no, it wasn't OFF by two inches. I could see two inches of my REAR tire if I looked down the sidewalls of my front tire on that side.

It probably wasn't off by 1/4" or so. Just enough to make me have to turn into it all the time.

Yes, only 3/5 of a single turn is all it took.

The printout that Pepboys gave me show Camber at 0.2* and 0.3*, Caster at 4.1* on both sides, and toe at 0.05* and 0.04*, so I didn't have too far to move it to get it straight. If those numbers are even accurate, which I am wondering about. That close to even shouldn't have created any push/pull/drift, or whatever the appropriate term is.

The #s look good to me.. There is the chance that something settles into position with the vehicle in motion. There are alot of forces applied in different angles all the time so rubber components can and will give even if only slight.. You did what the tech shoulda done at the end.. And I/we "steered" you in the left direction :D
