Hey anyone got on 15x10's? Wondering if they hit the leaf springs? If they work, do you think you'd be able to fit a 275 50 or 60 tire on there...?

a friend has 275x60x15 0n 10" but has a lot of sidewall bulge...(rolled fender lip)
    my 275x60x15 on 8" rims fit nice...no rolling/cutting lip.
make sure the backspacing is correct...:yup:

I have 15 x 10's with a 5" backspace, tires are 295/50's and they do clear the springs with no problems. I however did roll the fender lips and installed helper springs to avoid contact there. If I went to 275/50's there would be no contact with the fenders at all. I tried 265/50's at first and there was all kinds of room with those, but they looked weird, too short and too narrow for the wheels.

They don't really look bad on 10's, it's just that they're so short inside the Comet's wheelwells. I used em on the aluminum utility trailer I built, they look fine there.

So I might need more backspacing than 3.75 to fit a rim to clear the springs, right? With a 15x10. (fender clearance isn't a problem as I can just roll them...)

I had 15x10 cragar SS with 3.75 b.s. and 275/60's on my car
Back in the eighties...with the fender lips rolled FLAT and air
Shocks....still scrubbed the tires when I hit a bump.
    I Dont recommend it.
