Got my 2 purple Hot Wheels Racing cars today and they are, in fact, purple :)

Now does that mean that there is a purple super treasure hunt version out there too :hmmm:

maverickblank.jpg Saw This on Ebay tonight. Looks like a tampered tampo to me. The seller has a rating of only 2. Was up to 12 bucks when I checked it last.

I put my purple one next to one of my blue ones and the photos on the cards are in fact different and do represent the actual color of the die cast car :)

When you first posted this, I went and got one of my blue cars and I thought the photo of the car on the card was a little purple looking - more so than actually true blue. Now that I got my purple cars. their cards photos are really purple and I can see a definite difference :)

You would have to see them side by side :yup:

The Hot Wheels Collectors site announced we will be able to order a re-release of the Mighty Maverick next week! You have to sign up ($24.99) for their Red Line Club to be eligible to order it. I think it looks fantastic though, especially the slotted wheels.

I got mine in yesterday but forgot to take a picture. I was really surprised at how PURPLE the purple one really is. Like Grape purple. I wont let it bother me too much. I'll leave it in a drawer until its worth an obscene amnt of money then display it.

This is starting to annoy me ... seems the blue racing versions here dried up ... lots of other casts in that series still.

No purples locally ... going to deepen the search.

Has anyone found these in the wild?
