carb adapter question

    1972 Maverick 351w swap, 1965 Mustang 355 glide, 1993 civic daily driver
    My dad put an edelbrock performer intake on a 400 ford in his truck. When it had the stock intake and 2 barrell carb it ran fine. Right now it has a 80457 holley on it and we can't get it to run decent at all. He was wanting to know if they make an adapter to put a 2 barrell motorcraft carb on a square bore intake. thanks

    it may be a vac leak at the intake gasket...

    The holley has an electric choke on it and its not hooked up, the butterfly in the top of the carb is straight up. The best I can compare it to is a lawnmower with the choke on

    make sure that the throttle blades are opening up all the way
