I never fall in love with a piece of metal and never understood those that do

Haha, I wouldnt say I Love a car. More like the more work I put into something the harder it is for me to sell it, and the longer I have something the more im used to seeing it around. whether its a house or car or anything else. Like my current house is the newest and largest Ive lived in. but it was hard selling the other two becuase of all the work I put into them.

Sounds like you need to make a pros and cons list. What is so good about the Cobra compared to your Maverick that runs and drives right now?

    I'll start one :)

    Cons:
    1. The Cobra will definitely have a more limited usefulness.
    2. If anything bigger than a bicycle T-bones you you're dead.
    3. All the little super frustrating, unforeseen things we all encounter when doing a project.
    4. Rain
    5. Cold

    Pros:
    1. The Cobra is an amusement park ride on 4 wheels.
    2. It will always get people's attention (That's also a con).
    3. If it has a decent built motor its acceleration will frighten motorcycles.
    4. You'll stare lovingly at it for hours....

My friend had one built by Gordon Levy. It was Levy's personal Cobra from his shop when he was here in Fresno. Its 302 made 300 HP to the wheels and weighed 1950 LBS without driver. It was super fast. I think it ran 11.30 @ 126 or something on DRs.
My friends most frustrating experiences with it involve never being able to leave it out of his sight when he went somewhere in it. He found people leaning into it and on one occasion while coming out from the store found people SITTING in it while another took their picture!

I would sell my Mav for a the right Cobra kit in a heartbeat. I didnt even have to think about it. If you have to ponder it then I wouldnt do it.

I decided to pass on it. Someday i want to get one but its not the right day and right circumstance. Good news is a found a buyer at a little higher price and got $1000 finders fee for finding a no nonsense buyer for my friend. And the friend that bought it wants to pay me to finish up the 40-60 hours of work left in it. mostly interior, gauges, distributor, wire looming and securing, gas tank install. So it all works out in the end.
