I've had the shackles on since I got the car about 6 years ago and no problem?and I dot believe it has air shocks?a d probably gonna go with some of the three bar spinners as caps cus it's a comet so Mav centers won't go with it xD
WHOA Those are some big ol meats. I personally like 200S wheels. I have a pair on the rear of my Comet that are painted black with a chrome lip. I think I am gonna paint them completely black however.
this sounds like a problem... "They do scrub a bit on turns over 40 so I added spacers(1/4) but then they tires would get cut on the fenders.i could solve the problem by dealing with the scrubbing and not turning over 40mph or by rOlling the fenders and adding the spacers." ......
I'll have to take the rim off and check inside again xD and well the shackles are a decent size XD and the shackles don't cause the problem, had some Lincoln rims on before and They were fine
Hey guys, took the back rims in a week ago to have a leak patched up but they ended up having to dismount the tires,oh well no biggie right?nah the guys patched and sealed em but it leaked, turns out it was the valve stem,do they took it off, rather carelessly, and you would think they'd replac and seal it but no,turns out they don't have a stem that will fit these wheels and they ended up busting the old school steel one that was on there.at this point I was getting frustrated because it was hour 2 of a 15 minute job.they try to put the old piece back on with a tire patch to plug the leak, obviously it wasnt gonna work and I knew this but let them try anyway. After they did that it wasn't just a small unnoticeable leak, now you could HEAR the air coming out, after this it was about 2 hours after closing hours and I had to be somewhere so I decided I would just leave but the bastard still charged me $20 for a lousy job that left the wheels WORSE. To top it all off by the time I got home not even 10 minutes away both the tires were completely empty and had black sealer on the rims,I was pretty mad cus now it's just parked till I get around to swapping the old rims/tires back on and taking the daisys down to a good tire shop to get fixed. The only thing I got outta the whole experience was the knowledge to stay away from that shop and that the back rims are actually 15x10. They weren't 12-14ish the back spacing just threw me off an made em look bigger than they were.oh and my tire of choice for these backs is no longer being made :/ bfgoodrich 275/50r15 white letters so I'm looking for something a bit taller now or just these but with black letters.also I'm planning on rOlling the fenders in the next week to add some 1/4 inch spacers disks to get the back spacing and inner wheel well rubbing on fast turns problem fixed
Well I decided to finally throw the old rims back on till I roll the fenders and repair the leaks on the daisy mags so here's what it looks like https://fbcdn-photos-b-a.akamaihd.n...0/547447_488167507903722_859420458_n.jpg?dl=1
Glad to see you figured out they were not 12 or 14" wide wheels. If you had a set of 14" wide 200s wheels, you had the money to build your car pretty much any way you wanted to. They don't exist that I am aware of. I have a set of 15x11 Fenton Gyro mounted on mine right now to see what is needed to make them fit as I want them to. I will be narrowing a 9", at least mini-tubbing the rear wheel tubs and moving the leaf springs in to make mine fit. Mine are on 29/12.50x15 M/T Sportsman Pro tires. I like the 200s wheels and have a couple sets around. You might be happier with 15x8 or 8.5 and a slightly smaller tire. SPark
I like them.. I don't think they are too wide. I think the fronts are not wide enough and the car sits a little high..
Maybe these are what you need.. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/d...es+&+cores_-1_323&keyword=tire+valves+&+cores
Thanks guys, gonna check out those valves and that Mav has a nice rear I'll see if I can get a guy here in town to trade my 14x7 for some 15x8s he has,if not I might have to dig into my change can xD and the car sits very low with the daisys current tires,it bottoms out very easily, the Lincolns I have on it right now fit fine and no problems I just don't like the look of them or the stance it has, they were what we ha lyin around during the build
to each his own but dang get some mud flaps on those truck tires. I intend to get a slightly bigger wheel and tire combo for my car but NOTHING like that
I have a pair of new 14" x 15" 200s wheels for when the car is back halved. The fronts will be 6" x 15". Bruce
My first thought was that you would have the thickest spacer and longest studs I ever seen lol.. Then I actually read what you said and seen the "back halved". That is one freakin wide wheel.. I like
