Hey guys, I've been considering some new wheels for my ride ('71 Mav, 302, C4) to help improve the look some until I can get on the body work and get her painted. I took a side view shot of my car in stock form (eww) and then superimposed some different wheels onto copies of that picture to see what it looked like...wow, what a difference. These aren't professional photoshop pics, just a point of reference...thought I'd share with you all. If you any other suggestions or pictures, let me know and I'll add them and share for reference. :)

They're all nice but I like #2 the best. They just look right on Mavericks.

Yeah, it's really amazing how much it changes the look. It goes from a Granny grocery getter to a Grandpa with a lead foot grocery getter. :rofl2:

I don't know why yet, but for some reason I'm digging the last picture. I can't put my finger on why because normally I more into the traditional wheel/tire size and style. The gunmetal/chrome contrast maybe?

I like the look of all of these and honestly, I'd take ANY of them over what I've got now....it's depressing when looking at them in direct comparison to what I have now. Price will be the ultimate deciding factor when I finally get something.

I would hold off on the wheels until I got the paint on...the paint alone will give the car some pop...then get wheels to match the paint...JMO

I'd like to find a nice set of used wheels so I don't have to eat the high cost of something brand new. I just worry about getting something damaged, like out-of-round or the hub not being slightly non-concentric to the outer ring (from sideways impact). Are there any good companies who sell reman wheels at a cheaper cost than new and you won't have to worry about damage?

YES, but I have bought 3-4 sets of wheels and no paint...If I had painted it first maybe would have bought only 1-2 sets...
