I cleaned out the garage of the house we will be moving in to, making room for the Maverick. Just need to figure out how to get the car over there, since it does not run, has no brakes, and the steering column is not hooked up.

Got the old crappy running 351w out, (strange it had quite a bit of water in the PCV hose) got the water pump, pully's and motor mounts pulled off and put on new engine, still got flywheel pressure plate and intake manifold to go, intake was kinda worrying me, I did put the Ford four barrell intake on the new engine to see how it fit, there is only about 1/8 inch between the intake and block on the ends, side mating surface angles look tight, we'll see tomorrow.
P.S....there was no water in the oil, I don't understand the PCV hose having so much water in it, will look old gaskets over good when I take it off.

Saw her for the first time in a couple of weeks. I leave her at my buddies because he is going to be doing some stuff for me and she probably likes his shop better than my carport. Anyway, I got a car cover for free off of craigslist so I went to see if it fit. I was told it was for a '96-'97 Corolla(I think), but it just needs a tiny hole for the antenna and it fits perfect. It's not a great one, I actually just think it is universal but it will keep the dust off.(y)

Drove mine to work Saturday, came home in a flooding rain storm.. Had to drive through a deep flooded spot and I'm happy to say the car stayed dry inside, no leaks anywhere... Gotta love rust free cali cars...

Nothing today but vacation starts tomorrow. Planning on getting a solid 6 days of work done if I don't play out from the heat.

Got the new engine ready to go in! still gotta work out the brakes issue and modify some of the engine bay.
Those little plugs for the oil dipstick tube hole in the block are few and far between, but i finally found some, dorman makes them just hard to find.

took my car to a car show yesterday and missed the burn out contest but had fun trying to swing donuts with the new 5.0s
notice I said trying.....my car wouldnt stay running for anything. put a timing light on it for the first time and it ran a little better but got out again and tried to swing a donut and the same thing kept cutting off on me and loading up. well turns out my battery was upside down in the trunk shorting out causing the car to sputter:cussing:
then once we figured that out I was going to go have another attempt and teh local pd showed up and shut down the whole event.

it was cracking though too bad no other comet or maverick was out there besides me and curb hopper Ill post videos later

I thought curb hoppers car was going to flip over when he was out trying to do a couple of donuts lol

finally got back to working on the car after a 2 month break. Rear brakes are all new and installed and tonight is to try and get the master cylinder bolted in and possibly get the brakes bleeded...
