Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
i can't remember for the life of me if i posted photo of the progress on this or not.

if i did maybe an admin can merge it.

anyhow been working on this here and there.

today i was able to fit the trunk and this is what i have so far. end caps are being worked on today.

this is a tad taller then the OE grabber spoiler but not too much to make it look obnoxious. i recall seeing some photos of some crazy tall ones however, sorry me no likely.

note: this is a prototype only. the swoop off the trunk might be a tad steeper to be able to merge with the end caps and rear quarter panel so there will be no issue with the rear quarter not matching.

so you guys know this is NOT a easy task. my maverick has never been hit in the rear and even then the OE parts don't match up to well. in fact i don't think any maverick i have owned matched up. lol! so i am doing my best to make it work and really everything is being reshaped.

there should be a mold done on this near summer time and from there if all goes well i will start production. cost will probably be $200-300 or more then what i sell my hoods for since there is so much work and there are three molds just for this. i am sure some cheese ball fiberglass company is going to try to copy and knock this off but i think most of you have learned you lesson on buying maverick body parts from someone else. ;)

anyhow wish me luck on this!

Looks awesome! I had the same idea and wanted to go after the same kind of Shelby type look! I just bought a spoiler that was rough but fixable! I am making mine a little higher as well! Looks great!:)

I like it! Would the 200-300 be in carbon fiber or fiber glass?

I think he said $200-300 more than the current price of the hood he sells. Remember, it's the WHOLE trunk lid PLUS the quarter extensions.

    VERY nice looking set-up, BTW!!!
