Driveshaft is 4 bolts and a sharpie mark so you connect it the same way you took it off. Zip tie it up so it doesn't drag. Takes hardly any time at all.

Once you get the car on the dolly you should have plenty of room to crawl along and see where the driveshaft connects to the rear axle.

Loading the car on the dolly backwards can be a right proper PITA and imo isn't worth the effort.

Rear axle. Then it slides out of the transmission.

But tie the driveshaft securely up out of the way while still in the transmission tail housing so you don't loose transmission fluid.

is it a automatic or a stick shift if it is stick then you only need to leave the transmission in neutral. also if it is a automatic and you disconnect the drive shaft make sure to put the disconnected end in a bag so the caps don't come off the universal joint and get lost.

yes if it is a automatic make sure when tying it up that it can not slip backward out of the transmission and tape a bag around the disconnected end so you don't loose the caps on the u joint

I would use some black electrical tape and wind a couple of passes around the caps on the axle end of the driveshaft to keep the two axle caps from falling off. Also, upon reassembly, be careful not to over-tighten the U-bolts on the yoke or you will distort the caps and cause yourself some U-joint headaches down the road. Good luck and have a save trip!

that works well but i have seen the tape slide off ( like the one next to my garage) so the tape and bag is insurance is all.
