Look at the Grabber yellow next to it in the chart.

AlaskaMaverick. From all I have read, Thanks Vermillion should be the same as Calypso Coral for 69/70/71 (The only exception I have seen is one statement that the 1970/71 Maverick had an exclusive lighter version of Thanks Vermillion, but no other information). But your pictures are definately a lighter Orange than the Calypso Coral I got from a PPG supplier (for M1730A). Any chance you have a paint code for what your showing me? It looks between the Calpso Coral and Grabber Orange paint sprayouts I show in the front of this thread. Maybe what I had been searching for, but too late (I just ordered paint for the Calypso Coral as shown) SCS

SCS, I agree with what you say "a lighter Orange than the Calypso Coral"...after I received the paint and sprayed it on, it did appear to be brighter than what was on the vehicle when I got it off of the homestead. I couldn't justify the cost to re-shoot it, I'll live with it (although have you ever seen the price women pay for make-up? OMFriggingG

Old thread here, but to answer your question, the 66 signal flare red from 1966 Mustangs looks a little more Orange than Calypso Coral based on the automotivetouchup web site. I would have definately given this consideration. However, after applying Calypso Coral on the underside in a color match single stage, I'm worried I am too orange already (see my avitar). I am hoping the two stage final coat comes out a little more Red but with more Orange in the sun (like some of the above posts show). So, I am not much help. Good luck, but I would invest in a two stage sample on a 4x4 sheet of steel or something. It may cost you $50-$100, but worth it as the color is the icing on the cake (unique for each of us!)

Yea for sure. That is what I was thinking, the signal flare color is a good color for people who would like a little bit more red that orange like the Calypso Coral color. And they colors you had on the sample sheet to the right of Calypso Coral is for someone who wants more orange than red. I really like the Signal Flare color but also like the 70 Calypso Coral. I think it would be cool to have something a lot of people dont have.
