Can some one post pictures showing the seat tracks installed in their car. My seats lean in at the top. I think when I had it upholstered the seat backs were installed on the wrong bases. Would this cause them to lean in at the top.

Are the spacers there for the inside track? There is a bell shaped one and a long u shaped pedestal that is for the rear. Other than the backside release to tilt the seat forward, the backs and seat bases are the same dimensions.

Here is a pic of the tracks with spacers.

mine does not look like those but they are the orginal ones for my 72 comet. Mine has a bell shaped one on the outside rear and an long one on the inside rear. Thinking they may be wrong. The seat backs have the latches on correctly for the seat tilt. Thinking maybe when they were uphlostered they may have the seat backs on the wrong bottoms.

I have my buckets out of the '72 right now, but I'm pretty sure the bell is for the front of the inside track. The outside track has no spacers. Having the bell on the outside rear would definitely make the seats tip inward.

Seat bottoms are not side specific, at least with the factory high backs. I think it is that spacer bell.

Those look like the longer ones that came on the LDO tracks. They work with any seat too.

Ron, look at the picture in post #2 - from left to right

See how the spacers are all on the inside tracks? Bell in the front - u shaped bracket in the rear.

Maybe this will help! The shorter studs go to the outer tracks and the longer studs go to the inner tracks. The bell goes to the front inner and the larger spacer goes on the inner to the rear. If you have any spacers to the outside track nearest to the doors it should tilt them incorrectly.
