I know this has been asked 100 times befor but I just cant find it. My wife recieved her High School 1973 Comet GT from her fathers estate when he passed. BUT he had pulled the hood scoop off of it and hid it. there are approx 20 acres of buildings and cars, Hence, finding the scoop will be a daunting task. so does anyone know where I can get a replacement Scoop? the plan is to put an electronic 5.0HO and AOD in the ol girl and redo the body.

There are a couple on eBay right now.....around $395 each if I remember correctly. Well worth combing the 20 acres to find it. :D

The West Coast Classic Cougar repop is extremely nice, however the downside to the repop as far as being used on a Comet is the studs on the front edge are placed to fit the Cougar and you cannot move the studs to the correct position to fit the Comet unless you drill new holes in the hood. It would have been perfect had the additional holes been made in their reproduction part to resemble the OEM scoop. JMO

I bought my from auto krafters but I recommend finding the original or buying from maverick man the one from auto krafters looks nice but the quality on how the studs were positioned and fiberglassed in is crap

Fit and finish was pretty good. The studs were not correct and needed to go through the bracing.
