So far I have had no luck with aftermarket throttle cables, I need a suggestion on what aftermarket cable works best, post part numbers if you have them too. I have been thinking about trying one from lokar but their shortest one is 4 inches longer than stock.
Been there. You can buy the spectre POS kit sold at autozo**/pepfellows/oreally but you have to buy 2 of them to make one bulletproof version. The little "ball" at one end of the braided cable always snaps so just cut it and use the screw clamped bits from both kits on both ends of the braided cable. Should cost you 60 for both kits plus maybe 20-30 for a bracket if you don't decide to make your own. If you're interested I can post pictures of mine later on.
Can you provide the Lokar throttle cable part number and any modification you needed to make for other members on the site?
cable and bracket I used... Lokar SRK-4000 - Lokar Throttle Cable Bracket Summit Racing Part Number:LOK-TC-1000U
I really didn't do anything special, just cut it to length, when you put it through the fire wall use washers.
