Didn't say if was a C or D Yates head. Either way, gotta love a big inch Clevor when it comes to making horsepower. You definitely need that big cowl hood to accommodate the tall intake required.
Yep. Started out as the C302 head back when the racing division was called, "Ford Motorsport". The original C head was the Ford NASCAR head used in the early 80's that Yates angle milled and modified. The head was essentially a Cleveland head with smaller intake ports and raised exhaust to eliminate the dog leg port exit. It is based off of the Cleveland head design. Now if you are asking who cast them for Ford, I honestly don't know.
Just Like how GM performance parts have G.M. part numbers and are sold through G.M. and Mopar had Direct Connection parts the same way. I hadnt read the article when I posted that it was a 427 ci engine , I was just repeating what the owner Bobby Ducote had said on facebook . The car is now painted Black and is really looking good.
