I just finished installing new valve seals on a set of "69" 302 heads i have. I had three sets of valve seals laying around the barn (from complete gasket sets) and i did not notice there are two different lengths, so the heads have all 16 valves with the long seals on them. Will this hurt any thing?, and if so witch valves get the short ones on them?. the heads are still on the work bench so it is no big deal the change them.

I have never run into that problem , fel pro gaskets or seal power.

    As Frank would say... Picture(s)???

AFAIK orig type umbrella seals are one in same... The short seals with a metal ring around them(Perfect Circle type) can only be used on heads that were machined for them...
