I am going to try to get all the leaves out of my heater box and put a Cowl cover on the outside. How hard is it to get all the leaves out of the heater vents? I tried with the blower motor, but still more and more come out. SO I figured I would just do a proper clean.. I am putting new carpet in and I don't want all that dirt and leaves on my new carpet. Thanks! Chaz..
heat only...30 mins... heater hoses and a couple of bolts under the hood, the rest under the dash. then you can stick your hand up in the cowl and get the leaves and junk out of it.
Guess I have something to work on tomorrow. The cowl has a small hole in it.. I should be able to fix that from inside when I take out the heater box shouldn't I?
Not yet, I need to remove the heater box first, I am going to do that this afternoon. The leak is coming down where is side kick panel towards the cowl area, so I can't see up there untill the box is removed. I will post pics when it is out.
It appears to be leaking around the hole where the flange might have been welded on... It SLOWLY starts to get wet like seeping though...
I had bought some KBS floor pan and trunk sealer for my floor pans.. Since this MIGHT not be to bad, do you think that stuff might work to seal it?
If it is just in that area you should be able to use a sealer. Done it on a few cars that have had tiny holes. Just make sure to use a decent amount.
