What did you do to your Maverick or Comet today

    Today, I tried out the portable sand plaster deal my wife got my for Christmas. It's from Harbor Freight but surprisingly it did pretty well on my dash tray brackets. I definitely see why it is better to have a cabinet for this.
    I have to say I'll be purchasing a cabinet soon.

    I put up two new LED shop lights in my workspace. Tomorrow I am buying a craigslist engine hoist and stand. Soon my junkyard roller bottom end will be under the lights!

    Yesterday
    I removed old gas tank yesterday. Don't have replacement yet.

    Spent remainder of day with daughter, Took her to a college basketball game. Had a great time!

    Today
    No car work today. Daughter and I going to another basketball game today at her requester.

    Rusty ole car needs a break!

    been taking some weight out of the Maverick.
    I'm down 75# +/- Effie down 55# +/-.
    trying to get back to my fighting weight...Viet Nam 18 yo (30"X30" pants)...LOL
    down from a 44" pants to a 32"... 2Xl shirt.size to med.

    I recieved my new filler neck from Auto Krafters. My new gas cap will now work. Will install the neck next week.

    I worked on trying to get the adhesive off that's left from removing the vinyl top. Lots of elbow grease. Using a 3M Adhesive remover and it is really helping. I did some reading on the forum and some others have said soaking in WD-40 worked for them but I didn't have any success with that.
