Thanks for the feed back. I just left the nut off untill I bolted the valve body back on so the square nut interfereing with the bolt wasn't a problem - but I will include a hex nut in future versions. It is a common 8-32 nut - I used the square nut for its surface area. A lock washer and hex nut will hold it just as securely.
Did you use a #29 drill in the guide? That is the reamer size that I use when making them... If you use a larger drill bit it won't give you full threads...?

Were the instructions and pictures clear enough? can anyone follow them or does it take a technician?

To order kits you have to Email me with your contact information.
That way when you send the Postal money order I have the information I need to send the kit.

Scooper your two kits went into the mail early this morning - in two separate envelopes - I hope you get them both at the same time.

I had a dab of sealer on the nut which I didn't want to disturb, plus was concerned the needle would spin around and lose the basline setting.
But yeah, I suppose I could have just left the nut off and torque down the bolt first.

Yes, it was a matched set (Kobalt brand) #29 bit and 8-32 tap.

I think most could follow it ok. One of the check balls and restrictor valve thingy (the spring and metal button under the filter) popped out so I had to dig out my old B&M shift kit instruction manual to look at those pics and find their positions, but no biggie.

Hoping for some better times this year at Pacific T&T night.

    Update:
Put it through some full power blasts at the strip.

    No noticeable 2-3 flare.
