I believe the electric water pump makes cooling more efficient; plus the overdrive adds to the equation.

The 2 together, you’re probably right make a difference. I’ve never tried a electric WP . May have to look at trying the WP

Probably not the ideal place to post this, but there is a Maverick at the Pick'nPull in Fresno. Looks kind of picked over.

While picking up a few small parts for Smoky the Ranger at the
U-Pull yard today I stumbled upon a 02 Mustang with a very nice set of bucket seats (driver is power) cost $43.29 out the door for the pair and found $2.00 in change under the seats.
These should fit great in the old Comet.

$41.29 net-cost is a great deal! I just looked up the price from my local yard in Rancho Cordova: $38.99 for the passenger and $46.99, for the diver, plus 8.25% tax, and unlikely have any coins in it.

Agreed, that's NOT the VIN. If any forum member goes to the yard, jot down the VIN for the sequence number list, please.

That’s why I couldn’t pass them up, no cigarette burns, tears, holes or rips.
I almost got them for $38 because he didn’t realize the driver seat was power, but I sure can’t complain.

Got the right alternator belt on the 2nd try. First one was a tiny bit too long, and good old Autozone hooked me up with one an inch shorter, So I can proceed to punish my tires a bit more before the weather quits.

Replaced dome and footwell light bulbs with LED, so hopefully the dome light lens will quit getting cooked.

That’s been a issue on old Ford’s, I’ve always taken the bulb out if I‘m going to have the door open for longer than it takes to get in/out of the vehicle.
The newer Ford’s have a “time out” feature that turns the light off after a few minutes of the door being open.

I did that awhile back after my dome light got cooked. It’s a great upgrade!
