If it is an 8" the center section might be useful to someone. If it is the early 7.25, no real use for them.

The 4 bolt Maverick 8" rear will bolt right in to early Ford Falcon / Comet and has value to anyone upgrading from the early integral rear and retaining the authentic 4 lug originality theme.

As far as I know it doesnt leak. I have no idea what the shipping would be. If you cover the shipping, you can have the thing. DM me

Are you sure they want the 7.25 ? His axle code shows it is not an 8"

Running a stout V8 and few good launches from a stop sign will turn that lightweight into toast.

Is the 7.25 an integral rear axle like early Falcon Comet or different type from 8" and early falcon / Comet integral?.

    ... collected a few six cyl Maverick/Comet rears but all were 8" (AFAIK) . (71 4 lug, 74 & 76 5 lug)

    thanks

    '61 with 60's Integral ( what is size - 7" ?)

The '70 was a 7.5 inch ring gear with C-clip axles. I can't imagine anyone wanting one...

Not a 7.5 - Your thinking of a different rear that was used in the Ranger. It had c-clips.

The Falcon, Mustang and Maverick had a 7.25 that had no c-clips. You pulled the axle the same way as the 8" by removing the nuts on the bearing plate at the brake backing plate then pulling it out with a slide hammer.

Oops! You're right. 7.25". I did think those were C-clip axles, but I knew it was 7.25".
Since we're on the subject; was the 7.8" Granada rearend a C-clip axle?...

Your thinking about the 8.7 - which was like an orphan Dana style or something like that. They came in the Lincolns too. I don't know much about them, other than to frown when I looked for rears in a junk yard to save. If anyone is interested - the 8.7 is nothing like an 8.8. They are not worth anything but scrap iron.
