Speaking of towers..

    Did later year Mavericks have additional bracing done to the towers from Ford?

    Yes, on the outside at the controlarm mounting point.

    Also around the shock towers, which added approx 1/4 - 3/8" and sometimes get in the way of header tubes.......
    I think this was done on 73 and up with 302, but I have seen some with 250........

    Those look like the Boss 302 Mustang race chassis mods.

    My 75 has it. It originally came out with a 250.

    Engine size was not a factor. They were having issues with cracking. Everyone got them. I cut a set out of a 250 cid car and grafted them into my '71. Pictures in my build.
