    Hello,
I have posted a need for a new defroster cable assembly for my 1970 Maverick. I received a private message from a member called Larrymont. He recommended a guy named Brian who was supposed to have some excellent ones for my car. After numerous text messages I agreed to send him 198 dollars via PayPal friends and family. I should have known better as the more we conversed more the cables were not proper. He sends pictures of items on Ebay or the net and claims they are his. This scammer went to great lengths to find a picture of the proper assembly, and I should have known that he was faking this. First time I have ever been scammed on a purchase via the net.

Live and learn. My wife told me it had a bad smell, but I went ahead anyway. If anyone wants more detail on this, I have numerous text messages to this guy name Brian. He even tried to trick me into sending another 198 dollars and wanted etal into my Paypal account! Lesson learned!!

I found Larrymont in the list of registered members. I suggest you remove this account from the site. He is a talented fraudster! Got me for 200 bucks!! First time for me to be scammed!

I banned him - sorry this happened to you. Internet is full of scammers. I don't know if it helps but you can report him to the cyber crimes unit at www.ic3.gov
Also, not sure what address he used - his IP shows he is in South Carolina - which is at least better than overseas as far as the crime unit catching up with him.
