That's funny, I was layin in bed last night, and I got to thinkin, I wonder what Jessica Alba looks like completely nekkid....
Too many 71/72 Grabbers ... that would be a big registry! My only question about these cars is why do some have black engine compartments and some body color? I have so far determined that an early 1971 build date 08/70 Grabber from Canada is body color - a late 8/70 Grabber from Kansas City is black and my early 01/71 from Kansas City had a body color engine compartment
I suppose I've owned 25 or so Mavericks and Comets over the years and have yet to own one that wasn't body color.
The only reference I have is the 1971 Maverick/Comet Body Engineering Installation manual that I have. The page showing the engine compartment paint has a revision date of 07/06/70 and explicitly indicates the entire engine compartment is supposed to be painted black.
What assembly plant was Wayne? On that decode site it just say W stands for Wayne. No mention of what state/country it was built in. Thats where mine was built. Haven't seen to many other made there.
Wayne refers to Wayne Assemble Plant in Detroit, MI. You should be happy that yours was actually built in the Motor City:bananaman
