My or guess would be the person had the 2 cars,,,he took them all apart And he put one together using the best parts of the 2 … ..just so happen he tossed the old dash out for the 73 and lost the title for the 74 …had a paint job done and fig no one will notice till along comes … … frank and now its all over the net
I'm going to talk to the owner and see what the story is as for what the guy told him when he bought the car ... ...
Bottom line: ALL 1973 and up Mavericks had 5-lugs. Period. To get 5-lugs prior to 1973 meant getting a V-8.
thats wrong!!!......maybe for a non grabber car ...but mine had all org parts it was a fac 250 6cyl car with air and 5 lug drum front and rear ..... there was no swaped parts on it .......and i have seen other 5 lug cars with 250 6cyl they was 72's also ...might be somthing to that rl:it's a FORD and Thats The Bottom line
I agree also, it's so easy to clone/ or misrepresent cars !!!last sunday at a muscle/antique car show I saw a comet super sport .this guy was full of it, it had the required SS emblems on it tho(well to pass it off as an SS). out of 400 plus cars in exhibition, that was the only P-body there.oh well,we all know theirs no such thing as a maverick SS(chebby appearance package option). Hey Dan!!!! nice ride any more pics....
Sorry guys, I must-a-been dreamin' My parts car is a '73 - small bumper in back - but it does have four lug wheels.
