I am thinking about powder coating my window trim black. Has anyone done this? I know the material seems pretty soft and I don't want to melt it
I would think stainless will take powdercoat.Talk to a powder coating shop.Virtually every other metal can be powder coated,so why not.
I sanded my windshield and back glass and painted with SEM Trim Black. It looks good on the dark maroon color of my '77. I'm also painting the hood lip trip body color as I had the headlight bezels painted body color.
I do powder coating for a living, and yes, you can powder coat stainless trim without a problem. I have done it several times. I would reccomend lightly scuffing it with scotch brite, and spraying it at room temperature.
I was also thinking it must be kinda hard to see out of them now. I don't know...some people just like to be different. He's probably just trying to hide something.
thats what I am thinking.....might have to get Frahler to help me with that he has alot more "patience" than I do I will be having these pieces powder coated, my oven is not big enough to hold them.
A guy leaves out one word and y'all jump him like he's the last coconut y'all's deserted island. I was talking about trim you old geezers!!!!
