    1. Is it easy to remove the steering wheel and replace it with a new one?

    2. How much would you estimate it costs to install a floor shifter on a car? I don;t have the tools to do so and I'm looking to get one installed.

The steering wheel is on a spline.
It may or may not be hard coming off without a puller.
You need to consider a horn function if the replacment wheel does not have that option.
If you car is an automatic, get the shifter and linkage from another car with that option.
If standard on the column, you may be out of luck for a simple bolt-in.

Yes, with the right tools. Without a steering wheel puller though, it sucks. Autozone will loan you one...

Aftermarket or factory type? I figure doing it myself, I will probably spend around $200 putting in a decent aftermarket shifter, so add labor cost to that I guess...

I got a B&M z-Gate shifter, It installed with no problems. I think I paid about $120. Just follow the instructions and you should be good to go.
