Lazy way?? Took me 10 hours to spread those 6 gallons of bondo all over my quarter panels

 

I think the tail lights are from a 69/70 cougar

slowpoke... you just squeeze the hardener into the gallon and mix it with a paint mixing drill bit. then you get your hand shovel and glop it on. when it dries add the next gallon. you can work on several panels at once to speed the process....hehe

 

I use drywall mud. Much easier to sand and lots cheaper.

 

Mine too - no carpet, just thick "all-weather catch-all" rubber mats

 

If you make a mold, you can make entire quarter panels out of just bondo

Off topic but were rubber mats an option instead of carpet? i had that in mine.

Yup....it was the bottom of the line. I've seen one car with in, but it's not listed on the order forms, or the price books I have.

 

That car scared me when I saw the pics......Had to go look and make sure nobody had stolen mine and wrecked it! But then I saw the Cougar lights and hideous hoodscoop and breathed easier. About the same shade of yellow, but mine is a whole lot straighter!

 

I believe the rubber mat was standard and carpet was an option. My 71 has rubber.

 

Durobond 90 would hold up much better It is harder to sand though

 

I had thought about mounting speakers there, but inside mounted to the frame. Some thought/creativity would be needed for the panels.
