I got the car last November and got the engine done a few months ago and told myself, self no motor until you get the brakes upgraded so as you all know one thing leads to another. have had two donor cars so far first was a 89 Lincoln mk7 lsc for the ho motor and stuff and the other a 77 maverick ldo for disk brakes and stuff. Sold the 8" the bucket seats and more stuff from the ldo and got an 9" from 1958 ranchero then had mavmet build a chunk with 370s and a Detroit locker, then did disk brakes cheaper then I could do drums.

I thought about using a Mark VII donor to get EFI, serpentine belt and AOD. Now leaning toward just doing a stroker.

Are you using the fuel injection and computer from the Mark VII? If yes, what did you do for a wiring harness?

Using the Mark VII AOD? Someone said its an inch longer than other AODs.

    update3

In the last pics you can see where I took two 6 cyl tranny cross mounts and made a V8 mount in the view of the rear you can see 2" lowering blocks disk brakes so any way heres some more pics and now I'm trying to figure out what to do with my pitman arm hitting my headers the wheels are from the Lincoln and the decals on the center cap are from Craig Selvey and some of the specs on the motor it's a 306 HO roller with AFR heads 7.1 roller rockers forged pistons ebrock rpm intake Back to the slave drivin maverick but when I'm done it will be my turn.

I won't recommend the people that I got these brackets form because Mavmet(Mike) and I got them at the same time and had the same problem and got a grouchy customer service person but we used there brackets 85 Lincoln rotors and 85 caddy Seville calipers and had to get some brake lines now I will recommend Scarbird Classic Brakes LLC I have done stuff with these guys in the past and was very happy and really happy with there service
