baddad457, you can get 275/50/15's ? I asked for them last year, around here and they weren't available from any of their wearhouses. I know that 275/50/15's were made because, I have bought them in the past. The 265/50/15 was the biggest I could get, besides the 295/50/15. The 295/50/15's were available locally but, I couldn't get a 275/50/15. :Handshake

Cooper still lists them on their website,(or did last I checked) so I assume they're still available. :huh:I haven't actually tried to buy them though. Summit lists that size in M/T ET streets too.

Did a search on Summit's site, Cooper dropped em I guess, but there were 7 choices in that size there.

I did a quick search and came up empty handed too on 265/50's. I'm sure there's some left out there, you'd just have to hunt. I would go with the 275/50's.

If I remember right, I am currently running 255/70's on mine.
A bit skinny, but they are the tallest tire I have ever run and really make the 4.11 gears easy to live with on the street. The speedometer is even correct and the wheel wells are completely full.
I've had so many wheel and tire combinations on that car it's hard to remember.

Oh and the wheels are 15x8 with 1/4" positive offset if I remember correctly.

    275/60's are 28" tall (275 x.6 x 2 =25.4 + 15 = 28") Section width is 275/25.4 = 10.8") Section width also varies somewhat with the rim width. Running that size with 3.55's is akin to running my 295/50's with 3.29's

If I was running an OD transmission, then tire height wouldn't be a factor in choosing a tire, unless it was too tall. You can compute the rpms at speed yourself with various tire heights. Take tire diameter, multiply by Pi (3.1416) to get the circumference, divide the cicumference into 63,360 (inches per mile) to get revolutions per mile, multiply that figure times the gear ratio to get the rpms at 60 mph(in direct or 1:1), then multiply that figure times the OD ratio at 60 mph. For instance, with a 275/60/15 tire which is 28" tall: 28 x 3.1416 = 87.96. 63360/87.96 = 720.3. 720.3 x 3.55 = 2557 (rpms @ 60 mph) 2557 x .80 (I'm assuming you have a .80 OD gear) = 2046 rpms. If you want the rpms at a different speed, then divide (or multiply) the desired speed into 60, then multiply that times the rpms @ 60. 75/60 = 1.25, 1.25 x 2046 =2557 (which tells you, you can run the same rpms at 75 in a .80 OD transmission as you can at 60 with a direct 1:1 transmission)

Now, I think that size is too tall for a Maverick, but that's just me. They're better suited for a full size pickup.
