True That. last month a freak wind storm knocked out my dish. I realised how much more time I have. I will eventually replace it after I remodel the living room.

Just saw that tonight. On Barter Kings, episode #3. Ralph is the Maverick owner.. it was a 1974 Black Maverick sweet car with nice rims.

Traded a geode for the car.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
I've loaded the episode up right now, saw the first two and I can tell you for a fact that these trades are not real ones.

The barter section is horrible out here, I live in the same area as these guys do.
Most of the time you'll get drug offers as trade. The rest is just people wanting to trade you worthless crap or 10% of what you ask for cash.

That show has to be another fake...who would trade their 74 LDO for a goofy rock???
Unless it was a huge a$$ diamond...

Someone who doesn't like mavericks or old cars? I agree the show is fake. The geode at best was worth $300 if you can find a willing buyer in this economy. Even in a good economy.. hard to do.

I didn't even know they were called a "Geode" until I saw that on TV, I always figured they were an overpriced fancy rock, that'll just collect dust.

I had hundreds of geodes got them the old fashion way went out and looked for them...lol When I was younger I wanted to be a geologist, so I had minerals/rocks exc exc out the ears. I donated them all to a local school, as I didn't have room for them anymore...and they reminded me of the path not taken. Still a part of me wishes I would of done the geologist thing, but we have to grow up and do lame jobs...that pay the bills don't we?

I own the maverick from the tv show. I did the episode with the airplane. I am trying to restore the maverick back to a nice driver. Needs headliner windshield trim passenger window regulator. Odd and end type things.
