i was looking to buy a 73 charger so i talked to the guy and he sent me pics of the car inside looks good and outside (has some rust) and in his ad he says motor might need rebuilding, so i asked him about that and he said he dropped one cylinder what does that mean? i was at work so i had to stop texting him but i was going to ask him again sometime today....

Dropped a cyl means...It has a cyl not doing its job due to lack of compression or a bad plug etc...

I had a 1972 Dodge Charger SE with a 318. it was my first muscle car. I learned how to rebuild an engine, how to make sure the torque convertor is ALL the way in the tranny after a rebuild, how much it takes to get a tranny rebuilt, i learned brakes, timing, carb, etc on that car.. i miss it.

I also learned that a 318 can pull that big of car around, but that a 360 or 383 would have worked much better.
