Its not the cursing part of that rule that bothers me. It's the "friendly in nature" part that I find highly subjective.

What seems like a friendly argument to one may not be friendly to the other even with no cursing.

Yes, it is subjective and that is what the moderators are for. If you find an offensive post - use the report button and a moderator will review it.

NO - you are not allowed to defend yourself. What purpose does it serve?

JUST DO THIS - report the offending post and let that guy get an infraction for breaking the rules. If you fight back you will get an infraction too

    ......

    this isn't rocket science people

Look, you are not allowed to respond to an attack .... If someone BREAKS RULES by attacking you ......... report the post.

    RULES:
Do not insult or attack another member because they do not agree with your opinion.
Do not respond to an insult and/or a personal attack with another insult and/or personal attack. (Report any insult or attack to a moderator immediately by clicking on the report post icon).

If someone is discussing your opinion or position in a friendly manner then by all means, argue your reasoning and position - but if it gets personal or becomes a personal attack - infractions will be given.

There is no need for such list. Everyone needs be able to post without having to resort to cussing to get their point across.

Technically it is circumventing the rules which would result in an infraction.

I want to re-iterate that this is perfectly acceptable and the right way to respond.

Such childish behavior is not welcome here and will not be tolerated. Everyone involved would get an infraction and posts would be removed. Do not fall for the bait, report the post(s) and move on.

I don't want to make any waves here, but that is just silly. Since when did dollar signs and various other symbols become dirty words?
