Trying to decide what to do with my 1972 maverick remains once I take the axles and trans out... seems like a shame to scrap it. Do does or would anybody need or buy a stripped body like that?

The shell is a wealth of sheetmetal patches if its all rust free. It also makes a good foundation for a build if you have parts or parts car to build it up from. Value is going to depend on condition. I should think a rust free shell is worth $500.00. You could probably make more, cutting it up and selling off the componet sheet metal though.

I've bought a bunch of nice rust free body pieces over the years, mostly from Texas cars

Bottom of front fenders -rocker pieces - a complete cut out front torque box - 71 transmission tunnel - these bodies can be cut up into usable pieces in case the entire shell doesn't sell :tiphat:

Good luck. I tried to sell a RUST FREE shell for a long time.
I hope yours finds a good home.

transportation would be the biggest hurdle in selling a shell. if youre close to the members to have the means to transport it or are close enough that it would make sense then it will sell but otherwise GOOD LUCK
the useable parts do sell if already separated from the shell since its easy to box them up and ship em cheap. if the car has a clean title and is registered then its valuable as a whole to someone who want to register it and build it from there.

It has a title and all, but the more I think about it that is alot of sheet metal I can use elsewhere on my '70... and a extra front windshield and rear glass too. Think I have a date with mr. Sawzall coming up in the near future!
