okay so I got bored today and instead of my usual routine of sitting around on the couch all day when the phone doesnt ring I decided to pull my comet out and clean up the engine bay a little and snap a couple of pics of the complete motor since I didnt have any since I had the powder coating done
I hope you guys like the pics
the sun makes the parts look almost pink but theyre a deep burgundy.

    That is pretty cool!

When I wanted to powdercoat my intake, I got a lot of "no, don't do it,it will hold heat...etc." so I didn't do it.

But if it stays that clean, and looks that good, I may do it next time I have it all apart.

Now, if you just got rid of those shock towers...:D

the distributor glows kind of a pinkish blue at night its pretty cool
I tried to post a video here before and couldnt get it to work for some reason maybe I can email someone the video to post for me.
Ill take a short video of the car running in the garage later tonight

as far as the intake holding heat who cares if youre not hot lapping your car its not going to make a difference.my car doesnt even begin to get hot. after playing with it and doing some burn outs you can still finger test the temp of the water in the radiator without getting burned so I wouldnt say it holds that much heat.

I have an edelbrock circle track water pump on my car and that thing REALLY MOVES THE WATER. I made the mistake of leaving the radiator cap off and revving the engine water shot a good 3 feet in the air. before I changed my bottom radiator hose it suck it shut when the rpms came up

that powder coating is almost a year old already. all I did to clean it was just wipe it off with a regular hand towel from the house :shhh:

as for the shock towers all in time.:D

    Beautiful looking.

Can't wait to see the Video. I find YouTube to be extremely easy to use. Once you make an account you can drag a video from a folder into your browser (on the right page on youtube) and it uploads it and gives you a link to post.

I had to drive my car at 1am to pick my kid up a couple weeks ago. I think I woke up every dog in the apartment complex on the way out.

its a real quicky but you get the idea. I could let that thing run very long at 9:30 this evening so take a look its cool but hard to see unless its out in the open and youre in front of it. standing there you can see it real good.
