A-Arm Tips

    any tips for getting into the upper a-arms to remove the bolts from the Engine side.

    I've got a 302 v8 in there and not sure i can get too them without removing the whole engine. :huh:

    If they're not rusty you can get them off with an open end wrench. Or you can take the manifolds/headers off and you may be able to get a socket on them.

    Have you tried a gear wrench?

    I'm going to guess they are rusty as everything else has been so far lol

    Not sure what a gear wrench is. Ah just googled it. mmmm possibly that would work.

    Will look tonite and get a better idea. Got to put my coil spring compressor on as well

    disconnect the exhaust from the collectors and jack up one side of the motor at a time to gain better access to them?

    Feel such a prat my buddy was over and showed me a easy way using a wrench and a second wrench to pull on for leverage.

    They undid like butter. Now to finish removing them and coil.

    yeah definitely good one to remember.

    In my defense this is my first project car and first time really doing anything underneath a car expect changing a tire. So bare with me as I ask alot of newbie and stupid questions lol
