Asking this question  - "Poll" on a new post: I have a 1975 Ford (4 door) Maverick "Police Interceptor"...many of you know the car, it was done by Chuck - Maverick Connection. I obtained the car :Handshake a year ago and absolutely love it. The car is what I call a "Wash-Wax-Cruise" ride; :thumbs2: nothing really needs to be done to her but I want to put my "Finger Print" on her. Had the windows tinted (looks great):thumbs2: and later going to do some "Performance Upgrades", nothing crazy, simply some top end stuff, e.g. head, cam, carb., etc. But here's the "Poll" question: I,m considering putting on a "Hood Stripe". Currently she has the Comet GT side stripe with the "INTERCEPTOR" cut out in the rear (silver metallic). To set her off I was considering either the "Maverick Grabber Hood Stripe" but instead of where the stripe say "Grabber", it would say "INTERCEPTOR", or...to keep the Comet GT theme going, simply put a similar Comet GT hood stripe which is two solid (separated) center hood stripe up to the cowl vents (no scoop), so here's the "Poll" :hmmm::

    1. GRABBER Hood Stripe (INTERCEPTOR cut out where it says Grabber)
    2. Comet GT type Hood Stripe (no scoop)
    3. NO STRIPE

    Interested in the opinions...thanks.

It is a personal choice, however I would vote no stripe

I understand....the NO STRIPE looks good but I'm leaning towards the "Grabber Type" stripe...but I bet I will get a number of NO STRIPE votes, thanks.

There is a way you can actually set up a "poll" with your thread. It gives the people the option to vote and the forum will automatically count the votes for you.

I saw Chuck's car before the side stripes were put on. I liked it without any stripes, but I have to admit the side stripes really set it off. Maybe I would change my mind about the hood stripe once done.

I agree....there's something about a solid paint scheme car that I love and I usually don't go for any "graphics" (stripes) but in this case you have to admit she is a different concept ride and the side "INTERCEPTOR" stripe somewhat identifies her as that.....so the Hood Stripe just may bring in the extra attention (car show and cruises) she already brings...we'll see.

Now, how do I go about setting up the "Poll", sounds interesting.

Do the grabber style stripe, the Comet GT stripes don't like right on a Maverick hood, especially without the scoop.

:) Leave it as is I think the Comet GT style stripe on the side looks great on four door Comets and Mavericks.

Craig stated that there is a way to set up a "Poll" on this forum and it allows readers to cast vote, counts the votes....anybody know how to do that? Thanks

OK, now all I have to do is find the "Post New Thread" page...obviously I found it before, so let me take a look, thanks.
