Well howdy folks. Just a note about this Mini Meet. It was in St Thomas Ontario on July 13th. 9am to approx 4 pm. Had 5 cars total. 4 mavericks and 1 comet. The volunteer pic taker had a brain far&. so there is no pics. He forgot his camera.It was hot,(95) humid and just a slight breeze. The first mav was bright yellow, 71 I think, 351 cleveland,C6,full framed. Its the old Lentec car from Ottawa area.Owned now by Trevor and wife Sally. She drives it. They were just T/T to get some bugs out. Next was a 70 in grey primer . owned by Gord Stewart for 30 yrs. Driven by his son Andrew. 289/ 4 spd, 486 rear, cal trac mono leaf and bars. Next was a red 71 owned by Eric March. 306/c4 with 12 1/2 comp, 456, Fast car too. Next was my 72 mav, C4/ 347, 462 rear. Had a couple(2) of gremlins too work out but it ran great after these were solved. Last was the small bumper Comet,blue, full frame, 302, a s/s car.coil overs etc. We were there to get together and race in the All Ford/ Merc Challenge. Huge show and shine too. This was all at St Thomas raceway. Had a BBQ lunch for all the Mav/ Comet guys, gals. 8 people in all. We had a great time, great weather, and ya gotta love the smell of burnin rubber. For you USA folks the town of St Thomas is a very short distance south of London Ont.

Great derrick. I will be there Fri, sat, sun. Camping out. Aug 23,24,25. If you can get a bunch of the welland guys to commit to Sat/ Sun. I will reserve a spot for all of us. Have fun racin, bbq, fire at night roastin weeneys or march mellows. And ya a couple of your fav cold beverages. if you desire.
