1973 Maverick- Factory floor 3 speed manual

    Just acquired this 73 with a 200 six and what appears to be a factory 3 speed manual shifter on the floor. There is no sign that this is a column conversion. Is this possible? Does anyone know if the is common or how many were made? Thanks

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    A floor shift was available from the factory, so it is possible it is original. Post a picture of what it looks like and we can tell for sure.

    As far as how many were like that, only Kevin Marti can tell you that with a Marti Report.

    :cool: I wouldnt mind a floor shift manual if it was a stock car for driving on the weekend.

    Looks to me to be the right shifter. Someone swapped out the shift knob for a wood one at some point. It's nice you got one with bucket seats.
