There will be plenty. I met a guy near me with a Comet, he will be there. He is an MCCI member but not sure if he gets on here. I will keep him posted on a meeting place if we ever come up with one.

 

Ok Guys and Gals, Trying to plan this from 600 miles away has been trying at best and i'm sorry for the delays in communications. We will be meeting at the factory outlet mall upper parking lot on Saturday morning, We will be there around 10:00 Am.

Its Easy to get to from wears valley rd. Mels diner is located at 119 wears valley rd. turn right at the diner onto Florence dr, go approx.3/4 mile the factory outlet mall is on the left at the top of the hill. If you google "factory outlet mall pigeon forge tn" you can see a satellite photo of the aria.

Also on Friday afternoon me and my son are going to drive the dragon in the maverick, for those of you don't know the dragon it's an eleven mile stretch of US129 that runs through the mountains and it has 318 curves. there are some people that take action photos as you drive through and you can download them from the internet. anyone interested in going with us let me know.
If any one wants my phone number send me an pm on here and i will send it to you along with my email. i would nice to have numbers in case of break downs or emergency's

Have we decided on a location and time. I live about an hour away so I will be staying at home. Leaving early Saturday morning should be there around 9:00 am.

I plan on checking in at the Gateway Inn,around 11.00 am Friday. Then about 12 or 12.30 drive over to MEL'S DINER for lunch (dinner) for some of us OL-TIMERS-. Then try to find a place to park the NUGGETT and then walk the streets and see the car's

I'm not going make it this time. I don't have any vacation days left for the year. So I have to work . I lost $300.00 dollars on rooms too. Ya'll have lots of fun and maybe I can make it next year.

went to pigeon forge today, lots of classic cars for the "Shades of the Past" car show...there is a Comet GT in really good shape parked at the lower level of the red roof. 302 automatic....no price in the window but for sale...

Oh...by the way I will be bringing my extra hot wheels and johnny lightnings to sale if any one is interested. I'll have a trunk full. got most all of them except the latest that comes in the 10 pack....
