Duh. Chevy trans. For some reason I was thinking that was a later model on the big block Fords.

I blame NyQuil and a head cold!

I'm pretty impressed with the customizations that are available just by retuning those transmissions with a laptop. It seriously makes me want to come up with a project to drop an LS1 or LS3 and tranny into.

Yeah it's huge. Lol. 4l80e trans are way bigger than a c4. That thing takes up most of the tunnel. I did give myself some space for future removal. I had to buy a new yoke for the tranny and the u joint that was in the the car fit the Chevy yoke. So I didn't have to buy a u joint. Ain't that weird. The yoke accepted a 1310 ujoint. Didn't have to cut the drive shaft either, got a inch and a quarter of slide play on the yoke. I had to think about pinion angle , is another reason the trans is so high in the car. The motor angle to the back is only 2.5 degrees.
