    :chirp:
There is a big parking lot across the street from me where people like to do burnouts and donuts so I went over and left a nice little 40 footer, but the amount of smoke I created was very surprising. I was pretty happy with myself!:D

I need to paint my grill, but I remembered how many plain 70 style grills I see that the medallion has fallen off. I gave mine a tug to see if it was secure.....doink. It came right off.

Glad I checked it. Gotta find some way to secure it better after I get it painted.

This stuff held my Comet emblems on the C pillars for 10 years. The only reason they came off was because I pulled them off. :yup:

"WORKED THE MERC" all day Sunday and Monday. "WORK THE MERC" is a term my wife is getting to hate.
What I accomplished? Cleaned, repainted, replaced hardware, cleaned up the wiring before I can install the front bumper that Frank and I tucked. Hopefully, I will find the time to install the rechromed front bumper this week.

Started tearing the front suspension out to get some metal welded in to hold the UCA in place.

Fixed the lug on my charge wire in the Sprint (The wire fell out of the lug):slap: Really should have soldered it on the first time instead of crimped it. Its' all better now.

While pulling the wrecked 74 into the garage I noticed the fender raised over an inch when pulling from the street to the driveway. I put the car up in the air and noticed quite a bit of damage where the front frame connects to the body. Looks like my decision has been made for me. Put a non-op on the 74 and will begin work on the 70. Will use much of the 74 interior on the 70. Pretty bummed at the extent of the damage, but since I already knew the car needed a new quarter panel, fender, door, rocker panel....the floor and frame damage puts it over the top. Almost cried when I got under the car.
