Did a 1" drop on mine... Had to bang the hell out of the inside of the shock towers to get the grease fittings to clear.
Mine were Scott Drake. I originally relocated the UCA'S 2" down and 1/8" back per the ProMotorsports Engineering kit with the wedges. I "massaged" the towers and got 3 of them close to fitting but the one in the left side back wouldn't go due to the steering box notch, so I stopped the beating. They may fit with the 1" drop I have now but I have tubular Street or Track UCA'S anyway. If I ever put the stock arms in again, I'll do the rubber bushings instead of the metal shaft kit.
I need to not let these springs defeat me. I tried off and on for about 4 weeks trying to get the springs in and every time I compress the spring if I get it compressed enough to on into place then there is too much of the tool sticking out the bottom and it's hitting the a-arm really can't figure what am missing
can you post a picture so we can see the problem........then a few of us may have a solution for you!
It's possible. I've tried both of these. Will try and get some pics soon but it's -25 in garage just now so a little cold http://www.princessauto.com/pal/en/Steering-And-Suspension/Strut-Coil-Spring-Compressor/2920186.p http://www.princessauto.com/pal/en/Steering-And-Suspension/Coil-Spring-Compressor/8309254.p
A better pic of the spring on the seat would be nice.. Mine have a stop that is on the inside towards the frame. The spring end almost touches it.
first one is only for MacPherson strut coil springs, to use them on our coil springs is very dangerous! second one is the correct coil spring compressor, like it was mentioned earlier, if you can get a few pictures, then perhaps we might see what the problem is and help you out......global warming, eh?
