Hey all, looking for some experience or a referral to a resource to help me order the right parts:

I bought a Dana 44 with drum brakes and the guy I bought it from thought it had come from a '65 falcon and it does has the 5x4.5 bolt pattern. I refreshed the rear end with new seals, bearings, etc., but ordered bearings and seals that fit a '56 F100, and wheel cylinders that fit the falcon. (falcon bearings and seals didn't measure out right to fit)

Was loading it in the truck to take up north to the Mav and decided to take a closer look at the brake shoes and drums. They are pretty trashed, so need to order replacements. The drums measure 11" across on the inside but have 1-3/4 wide shoes. The inside machined braking surface of the drum is about 2-1/8" wide. (likely wrong shoes at some point?)

Would the shoe/drum fit the backing plate if I order new drums and shoes together that are both made for 2"? The '56 F100 has 11 x 1.75" brakes but have the wrong bolt pattern.

Anyone know another model/year that will likely have the 11 x 1.75" brakes with the 5x4.5 bolt pattern? Been searching and can't locate that combination yet.

I'm not sure if this will help you or not... 80's LTD crown victorias came with 11X2.25" rear drums optional. You might be able to use the shoes from one of those to make it work, and you'd have bigger brakes overall
