17's for my 74 comet, what do u think for size / bs etc

    hi, i wanted to verify sizes and backspacings before i order. what do u guys think?

    Front Wheels and Tires
    Tire Size: 225 / 45 R 17
    Tire Make and Model: 225/45ZR17 XL Kumho Ecsta SPT
    Wheel Width: 7.00 in.
    Wheel Backspacing: 4.00 in.
    Wheel Spacer: 0.00 in.
    Wheel Make and Model: ion 625 gray / with machined lip


    Rear Wheels and Tires
    Tire Size: 245 / 45 R 17
    Tire Make and Model: 245/45ZR17 Kumho Ecsta SPT
    Wheel Width: 8.00 in.
    Wheel Backspacing: 4.50 in.
    Wheel Spacer: 0.00 in.
    Wheel Make and Model: ion 625 gray / with machined lip

    Should work according to most of the posts Ive read... why dont you go and measure the car to make sure.

    i think that for the rear you will need 4" back spacing. maybe even 3.75". you really need to measure what clearance you have with some current wheels then see what room you have.
    on mashori's car he has the slightest rub on the inner fenders. ill have to see if i can find the thread with the final dimensions he used.

    here is the tread on his wheels.
    he used a 17x9.5 with a 5" back spacing. so off of knowing that he has the slightest rub with a bigger wheel and tire than your looking at your 4.5 back spacing should work nicely.
