I am brand new to the Flat head world. Like, totally brand new. I got my first flat head two days ago. I got a 1952 Ford Mainline with a flat head V8 and I have a few questions for those who know more than I do. I notice this vehicle has a positive ground system. This is new to me and I have a few questions. At the coil there are two power wires. Both seem to be charged when the key is on. Is this proper and where do these wires run to?
Second, I need a rebuild kit for my fuel pump. Where would I get this and how much would I expect to pay?
Third, is there an easy way to convert to a 12v system with a negative ground? Only because I am used to this and understand it.
One last question, does anyone know of any flat head gurus in Manitoba?
Thank you for helping me in this flat head journey.

I owned several early Fords with 6V positive ground. Do you want to change to 12V for some reason? If you do then it would make sense to use neg ground. If you're OK with 6V I can't see any point in wanting neg ground. There's nothing complicated about pos ground.
